August 24th

Mandatory Moms/Teacher Meeting:

9-12  An exciting time for moms to learn how to use the Eden Hope program and review  what we will learn this year (1900 – present).

Bring one component of a salad, (lettuce, dressing, beans, carrots,onions…) to share.

Teachers:

1-2:30 An Eden Hope representative go over each art and science project to make sure everyone is familiar with them.

 

August 31st

6:30pm Ice Cream Social at Hamilton Playground.

Each family will bring one topping for ice cream.

We will review the basics of what we will cover this year and play some fun games.

 

September 6th

Hamilton Campus Begins

 

October 11th

Campus Dress Up Day

Students may dress up in a costume that represents something they have learned in the first six weeks.  Examples include:  flapper dresses, perhaps a musician from the Harlem Renaissance, King Tut (his tomb was discovered during this period)…

 

November 22nd

Thanksgiving Break

 

December 6th

Last day of classes before Christmas Break.

Campus dress up day.  Students may dress up to represent anyone or event that we have covered in the last 12 weeks.

Independent Thinker Award

Students may participate in the Independent Thinker competition to earn an Eden Hope Green Independent Thinker t-shirt.  Students who have completed their Eden Hope Academy Activity Book and Timeline Cards are eligible for this award.  Students must be able to sing or provide 95% of the information from at least 40 of the Eden Hope Academy Cycle 5 songs.  $10 participation fee.

 

January 3rd

First day of classes.

 

February 7th

Campus dress up day.  Students may dress up to represent anyone or event that we have covered in the last 18 weeks.

 

February 28th

Break

 

March 21st

Last day of classes.

Campus dress up day.  Students may dress up to represent anyone or event that we have covered in the last 12 weeks.

Green Independent Thinker Award

Students may participate in the Independent Thinker competition to earn an Eden Hope Green Independent Thinker t-shirt.  Students who have completed their Eden Hope Academy Activity Book and Timeline Cards are eligible for this award.  Students must be able to sing or provide 95% of the information from at least 40 of the Eden Hope Academy Cycle 5 songs.  $10 participation fee.

Red Independent Thinker Award

Students may participate in the Independent Thinker competition to earn an Eden Hope Red Independent Thinker t-shirt.  Students who have completed their Eden Hope Academy Activity Book and Timeline Cards are eligible for this award.  Students must be able to sing or provide 95% of the information from at least 80 of the Eden Hope Academy Cycle 5 songs.  $10 participation fee.
